I thought Weird Al's performance was extraordinary! The gangstas and the nerds, the Segways circling Al in a Busby Berkley-esque routine, it was so funny! I think Al should have won for Big Web Hit. That video was everywhere, and lots of his fans *including me* have it on their myspace pages. I thought Ice T's intro for Al was great, and telling the people to stand up showed he has some respect for Al. That was cool.
Weird Al and Fergie were great.
I was really happy Janelle won her award. The camera just loves her as well as the cameramen because she got a ton of close ups.

I thought that D.L Hugley sucked so bad as a host. He was not even a little bit funny. He was laughing at his own jokes more than anyone else was laughing at them. Careful picking your hosts .. they kind of make up the whole show.
I completely agree that DL Hugley was horrible. I thought he made some racist comments & he should apologize for saying white people don't like to work in the heat & calling a certain group of people who want to ban Spanish rednecks & hicks. I'm not saying he should agree with those people or anything but he doesn't have any right to call them names like that just as Michael Richards should not have used the "N" word. Maybe redneck & hick isn't as offensive but the way he used it you could just tell he was bitter & it made it offensive...to me anyways. Unfortunately nobody will make him apologize but they should.

DL was even better this year than last year. He's got edge, keen social insight and still brings the funny. Yes he was raw but he had several classic jokes ("...if we build a wall between the U.S. and Mexico, who's going to build it? Okay (Mexican man), just make sure you’re on the other side when you’re done." "Mel Gibson said Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world. I didn't know George Bush was Jewish." About the photo of 'commando' Britney getting out of the car - "Nice Corinthian leather, and the seats are nice too!"). People with 'issues' will undoubtedly try to slam him as hard as they can (no surprise there - the double standard continues) but those of us with with our heads screwed on straight truly appreciated his hosting skills and comedic talent. I cringed a little (he tells it like it is) but I laughed a lot. Thanks VH1 for having balls (and a conscience)! Looking forward to next year. By the way, The Best Week Ever is one of the funniest shows ever.

I think that the comedian hosting the show and the jokes before the awards given out was a great way to start the show.

worst awards show ever!!! who was the girl that supposedly beat flavor flav for best reality star? he had the highest ratings ever for vh1 and still didn't win an award? please! the only performance that was remotely interesting to say the least was Fergie! who wants to see weird al on stage, lets be serious! vh1 stick to reality shows and leave the awards shows up to people who understand how to cater to everyone!

I thought the entire show was terrible except for the performance by the fray. i dissagreed with most of the winners. D L was not funny at all, in fact he was just mean. I thought that VH1 failed to put on a good show. Way to go guys!!!
